While that last option does seem a bit ridiculous, we're not really playing out much at the moment.  We're not savvy enough to find lucrative streams of revenue to support even the smallest of our web based endeavors.  We do have some fees associated with web hosting and album mastering though, so any little bit helps. 

Look at it this way:  When you buy songs from i-tunes and the like, independent artists such as ourselves end up getting about $0.60 per song.  So, if you wanted to "pay" us for our new free release, $5.50 would be a bargain for you and we'd earn a little bit towards the fee we paid to get the album mastered.  We'd only need the support of 64 fans to offset the price of preparing the album for your ears to enjoy.

Ultimately, the choice is yours.
